Here are some pics from last saturday at Mocca in NYC. It was scorching hot but plenty of people still came by and showed their support. Both OOP volumes 1 & 2 sold very well and plenty were signed by a hand full of us who attended.

Just a heads up.... OOP2 hit the shelves yesterday! Pick a copy up for yourself... and maybe one for your pops as well. Anyways, we'll be at Mocca this weekend signing copies (I know, i'm pinching myself) so if you're in the city come on by. Congrats guys and gal!

I drew a polar bear on a bike a few posts back and now I'm doing a grizzly on a unicycle...I think my subconscious is telling me to buy a bear suit and join the circus. This one started out as a test and turned into something fun. The happy/sad face was inspired by an SNL skit that made me pee my pants (not really)...so i gave it a shot. I worked larger than usual and used markers to get textures that followed the forms. I posted a detail so you guys and gals can get a closer look. Nos Vemos.

I came to my desk the other day and there it was...all shiny and new smelling. Our first copies of OOP2 had arrived! HOLY MOLY...it's surreal to think that not too long ago we were sweating bullets and losing precious sleep. It was all worth it though. I feel blessed to be able to be part of this book...I've learned soo much from the crew. The printing looks really good too. Thanks fellas and gals. Let's do it again!

Horton Hears A Who

The premiere for the movie was held here in NYC last night and it was unreal. Butterflies in my stomach and pleasant surprises through out. It's been an honor to work on this film. Any-who the tickets to the premiere looked soo sweet I wanted to share them with you.....enjoy.

a work in progress. some of the guys here at work helped with value, value, and value. mike lee said to 'power bomb that color!' vincent showed me what not to do...just kidding freckles. so yeah, this piece is a test. i want to try and figure out a process where i can add color and value but not lose the line i'm soo in love with. nos vemos!

Here are a few pages from my sketchboook. I finally had some time to just sit one night and sketch for fun. For one reason or another skulls and astronauts are my default imagery when I start doodling. The last one is from a 'draw-a-thon' in Brooklyn...best NYC night ever!

I haven't drawn from a live model in a very, very loooong time. Bare with me as I try and find my foundation. Anyways, the poses and times vary...oh and I did some doodles of faces at the very bottom. Apologies for the lack of posting...work is still crazy busy.
