mega man...

tried making this outfit when i was ten.

bluesky peeps

here are some recent bluesky challenge sketches i did...well it's not really a challenge. it's all fun in games. you can find the blog here...enjoy!

been a while...

here are some pages from my sketchbook. a self portrait (hahaha), my girls idea for a children's book, my version of a turtle (vermont!) and finally a guy fishing...with some moto acrobats. cheers!

torch...

...not sure if that's his name yet but it's a little side project I'm working on. Stay tuned.

the circus 2...a clown!

the circus...

last week i was pretty weak keeping up. so this week i'm hittin the ground running. the topic this week is circus! freaks are what came to mind and here's my ring leader...oh, thanks for the nice posts people. peace.

silver surfer

he's a lonely guy up in space. just thought i'd take it there and show some love to the old school long boarders out there...who wear chucks.

super duper continued...

so my cube neighbor jake is doing some really cool daily sketches on his site. check it. the link is to your right.

this week the subject was super heroes...wolverine. here's mine. i tried not showing his claws and still capturing his character.

stay tuned for silver surfer, green lantern, and from what i was just told, wonder woman. i'm playing catch up with these guys, they're like wild western gun slingers over here.

i want to paint...

here are some studies i did a few nights ago. i got home and was supposed to go to sleep but the art bug bit me and i couldn't resist. i still want to scan some drawings and post them but haven't gotten to it...keep posted...illegal aliens?

"the crew"

Speechless. That's all I can do (or not do) when I see the book "the crew" put together. These guys are such a huge inspiration and they deserve to sell a gah-bazillion copies of this book. All I can do is sit back and drool...learn as much as I can...and then drool some more. "Out of Picture" is the name of the book and $25 bucks is the price... which I would pay twice, maybe three times more for. It's that off the hook.

super duper

Jake (pronounced Hack-eh) Parker was drawing a superman and asked me to do one. I figured I'm pretty stoked about the movie coming soon, never really done a superman...so I decided to give it a shot. Here's my interpretation. It's my first pass at the color so I might go a different route.

peace n love.

inspiring pics.

Here are a few pics of recent events in my life. My sisters visited, the sunset from the staten island ferry, a mural in nolita, and this really cool shoe. A bit smelly but still kind of inspiring.

hey hey

It's been a while...I've been sketching, painting, and just getting more familiar with the city. Central Park, Cafe Habana (best cuban sandwich I've had), Rialto (best mojito!), meeting new people and playing darts. It's five all baby...five all!

The trains continue to amaze me every time I get on...here are some sketches from my newest sketchbook. peace.

chucks!

tony: "yo, you got anything i can sculpt/model?"

willie: "any suggestions?"

tony: "snake eyes!!" he said as he quivered like a school boy seeing his first nude mag.

willie: "done" i replied as i walked away trying to hold my composure...and this is what initially came spilling into my sketchbook. check back soon for the painted version.

peace.

sunday was good

So my new place finally felt like I actually lived their yesterday. I did laundry, did some dishes, had a couch to relax on, and I finally got my brushes wet...finally. A sketch inspired this painting but most of it was "going with the flow". Hope you dig.

peace.

some things from the grand central sketch session this past sunday. the coolest part was lauren's story about the one brown brick in the ceiling from the old days when people could smoke in the terminal! thanks for that. i'm going to be pointing that out to everyone who visits me from now on =]

you can find the sketch squad blog here,

sketch squad!

So the guys at work started this little thing on weekends where we get together, go to Manhattan and sketch away...The Sketch Squad. They're amazing and watching those guys work is the best learning experience. The Natural History Museum was our stop for the day.
