la bella y la bestia

did this in whole foods while the rain was coming down on sunday. plenty of rain, plenty of time to use my brush pen. i'm not sure about the eyes... just a technique i developed while doodling that i find very fulfilling.

Man, I love the line work on these. Brush pen huh? I thought it was nib. Makes sense now. Any recommendations for a particularly great brush pen?

fantastic work all over the place here!
I've been admiring that line of yours very much. such great feeling in the line and more importantly in that which is missing.
another comment asks about the brush pen .. care to share?

Again, that line just kills me. This is just beautiful stuff. Looks like it's time for me to hit the drafting table a little harder. Thanks for sharing.

it's a brush pen you can only get in japan...on top of the highest mountain...through woods soo dark you'll get lost three times before you find your way out...which you have to get to on boat...from a plane here in NYC. But the terminal is hidden between terminals 8 & 9 at JFK...only the cab driver named 'julio ramon' with one eye can get you there...kidding, kidding. it's a brush pen you can find at 'kinokuniya' book store. i can't read it or else i'd give you the name...but it's got two tips. a brush which i love and a small synthetic which i kind of like. search away!

Your work is awesome.
I have visited in the past but I am not sure if I ever commented on your work.
I really enjoy your lines and your characters ad pretty much everything else about your work.

Cheers to you and your skill,

regards,

Milenko

Willie, my OOP2 came in the mail late last week and l finally got time to search the pages last night ... its beautiful mate! it was your Plane Food teaser page that you put up on the blog that got me to order it, but there's SO much more even than your brilliant tale in there to consume. Every page is awesome, well done my friend, to you and co'
