Polska

polska . copyright willie real 2009

Polska, which means Poland in Polish, is the name of a little old lady whom lives in a little old town that's a little out of the way. Polska is very determined! She's determined to cook with the freshest most essential ingredients and will accept no substitutes whatsoever. She'll travel to the ends of the earth on her trusty little mo-ped for the freshest food. One summer day she was planning a very special little dinner and that's how far I've gotten in developing this character =]

I love getting into the story and the environment when drawing characters. You can really find your answers when you want to know what to draw...

I hope to have the oppurtunity to make this some day.

Wonderful drawings and a fun story idea. Maybe you could start by doing a version of the story as a self published comic or artbook!

Nice sketches, Willie. Good tip too on developing characters.

Also, not that it matters but, what pencil do you use out of curiosity?

I love her!... uh, well, I love the drawing, not her... because, she's not real, but the drawing is, so that's what I love... not her.

you are just the way i am willie..
what i mean is with all due respect to the skill ..its way up ythere but even i cant deam of any character without a story attached to it...no free doodles a.
and when the character is sketched down... it needs a space to breath and stuff to carry .

pls take this ahead for my sake.. i really liked the way you've narrated so far.
awesome sketch and special mentions..
