A buddy of mine (georgy boy) and his buddies (the block forum) were having a little fun with the description above. He invited me to do a monster with 4 arms, 3 eyes, etc, etc, and I couldn't wait to play with the idea of such a creature...so here's what I came up with. Oh, and the elephant leg is it's torso.

Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder Joshua. Here's the leader of the jedi crew, not quite the same as the one on the bss challenge (color was dialed way back), the one they call "yoda".


It finally occured to us over at work that we hadn't done Star Wars for the weekly challenge. Duh...anyways here the sketch I started with and the photoshoped alternative. I wish I could lock myself indoors and paint this one for real. Maybe someday.

n' stuff (title of this blog)

This is the "n' stuff" part of this blog. When I was home over the holidays my mother asked if I could restore a portrait of her and her sisters. I said yes of course (love ya mom). Anyways I thought I would share this because it's close and dear to me. Enjoy. (my mom is first on the left)

Japantown!

Japantown is an amazing place. The one in San Francisco fills me with joy when I visit. When I was back home in SF over the holidays I went by Kinokuniya to replenish my brush pens and to pick up some screentones. These things are a lot of fun! You might ask why not photoshop? Well when I open a sketchbook and I see screentones on an actual drawing or sketch...it blows my mind. It brings charm to the piece. Prehistoric photoshop if you will =]
