i want to paint...

here are some studies i did a few nights ago. i got home and was supposed to go to sleep but the art bug bit me and i couldn't resist. i still want to scan some drawings and post them but haven't gotten to it...keep posted...illegal aliens?

"the crew"

Speechless. That's all I can do (or not do) when I see the book "the crew" put together. These guys are such a huge inspiration and they deserve to sell a gah-bazillion copies of this book. All I can do is sit back and drool...learn as much as I can...and then drool some more. "Out of Picture" is the name of the book and $25 bucks is the price... which I would pay twice, maybe three times more for. It's that off the hook.

Jake (pronounced Hack-eh) Parker was drawing a superman and asked me to do one. I figured I'm pretty stoked about the movie coming soon, never really done a superman...so I decided to give it a shot. Here's my interpretation. It's my first pass at the color so I might go a different route.

Here are a few pics of recent events in my life. My sisters visited, the sunset from the staten island ferry, a mural in nolita, and this really cool shoe. A bit smelly but still kind of inspiring.

hey hey

It's been a while...I've been sketching, painting, and just getting more familiar with the city. Central Park, Cafe Habana (best cuban sandwich I've had), Rialto (best mojito!), meeting new people and playing darts. It's five all baby...five all!
